Story
I will be chopping a large length of hair of in hope to raise as much money as I can to go to St Elizabeth Hospice.As most of you are aware I am lucky enough to work at the hospice which looked after and provided critical care for my beautiful mum Diane Farrow. Working in the hospice I get to see the impact the money raised makes on people’s lives, whether that be on the inpatient unit (IPU) where the main priority is to get people comfortable, fulfil wishes including getting them home with loved ones and end of life care, or whether it’s the new Young Adult scheme where adults come in who have Life limiting illnesses in which gives them the opportunity to enjoy days out, activities in which they may not have access to otherwise all whilst receiving the medical care if needed, all whilst giving families the break from the caring role and for them to enjoy time and activities which they may not be able to otherwise do.
